The intervention aims at the architectural reconversion of a typical industrial volume through the implementation of a technological vegetal skin. The objective is twofold: to mitigate the visual impact of the building on the landscape and to transform the envelope into an active system for improving the internal microclimate and the well-being of human capital. The technical solution involves the installation of an advanced shielding system composed of a mesh of vertical tie rods and stainless steel cables, characterized by high resistance to corrosion and dynamic loads (wind and weight of the biomass).
The structure is anchored to the existing facade using calibrated spacer brackets. This air gap is essential for: avoid the accumulation of humidity and damage to the original covering.
Trigger the chimney effect, promoting natural ventilation which reduces the thermal load on the opaque wall during the summer months.
