A Pavilion for Two Lovers

The project is part of the area pertaining to the entrance to the Priare, strategically located along the visual and road axis that connects Romeo’s Castle (Villa) and Juliet’s Castle (Bella Guardia). The site is subject to specific landscape and monumental constraints. The intervention aims to create a reversible building intended as a ticket office and tourist info point for access to the underground cavities of the Priare, to replace unsuitable or temporary structures. It is a dry, prefabricated, modular building with low consumption, autonomous systems (air-to-air heat pump), with surface connections that can be inspected for easy dismantling.

Precisely because of its particular position we thought, as in a flashback of the famous Shakespearean novel, to have Romeo and Juliet meet again and reflect the images of their Castles through mirrors. The center of the curved stone wall is the point from which the visitor can see the two castles simultaneously
